Associate Director - Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE

We are seeking applications for an Associate Director to help lead the strategic direction for Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE. The ideal applicant will complement the attributes, skills and experience of the existing Directors to advance the vision of an earthquake-resilient Aotearoa New Zealand.

The initial term of this position is from mid- 2023 until 31 December 2024, with an extension beyond this timeframe by mutual agreement of the successful applicant and the Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE Board.

 

Applications for this position should include: 

  1. A standard MBIE formatted CV; and 
  2. A cover letter which outlines:
    1. prior engagement and involvement in Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE, and hence their suitability for the position;
    2. the specific manner in which the applicant considers they can complement the existing directorship in terms of the portfolios by which the strategy and operational activities are executed; and
    3. specific activities and/or leadership initiatives that they consider are needed to realise the aspirations of the CoRE through to the end of the current funding period, as well as positioning it for future funding beyond 2028.

 

Applications will be reviewed by a panel, comprised of; the Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE Director (Chair), one or more representatives from the existing Director group, two members of the Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE Board, and the Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE Operations Manager.
