We are pleased to announce DesignSafe (USA) has joined QuakeCoRE as an Affiliate Organisation.
DesignSafe is the cyberinfrastructure environment for the Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure (NHERI) Network in the US. DesignSafe provides the computational tools needed to manage, share, analyse, and understand critical data for natural hazards research, and these capabilities are provided at no cost to all natural hazards researchers. DesignSafe users and developers have deep collaborations on a researcher-to-researcher level with investigators in QuakeCoRE. Many QuakeCoRE researchers are active users of the data sharing and publication features of the DesignSafe Data Depot and the integrated data analysis tools and HPC access made available through the DesignSafe Discovery Workspace. There are ongoing initiatives within QuakeCoRE TP3 to reduce the barriers to entry for uploading large amounts of laboratory and field data to the Data Depot through optimised workflows developed specifically for QuakeCoRE researchers and educational workshops.
Chris McGann is the key contact at QuakeCoRE for our collaboration with DesignSafe.
QuakeCoRE affiliate organisation status is available to international research centres and institutions that have a significant ongoing collaborative research relationship with QuakeCoRE
