We are pleased to announce several opportunities to engage with Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE:

Call for Associate Investigators

QuakeCoRE Associate Investigators (AIs) are independent research leaders based at an Aotearoa New Zealand tertiary education institute or research institution committed to advancing the goals of QuakeCoRE and contributing to our mission. This call is the annual opportunity for new researchers to be nominated for the role of Associate Investigator with Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE.

Call for Industry Affiliates

QuakeCoRE Industry Affiliates are individual stakeholders or industry practitioners that:

  • are actively engaged with QuakeCoRE
  • are committed to advancing the goals of QuakeCoRE and contributing to the QuakeCoRE mission
  • would like to acknowledge this relationship by being named an Industry Affiliate

PhD Scholarships

QuakeCoRE is offering 3-year PhD Scholarships for students studying in the field of earthquake resilience. Students must not have completed more than six months of their PhD at the time applications close in order to be eligible. In most cases, the application should be prior to starting a PhD.

Applicants must be ready to start this scholarship no later than six months from the date of the Scholarship Award Letter (scholarship outcomes will be announced in June 2024).

Master's Scholarships

QuakeCoRE is offering 1 to 2-year Master’s Scholarships for students studying in the field of earthquake resilience. Applicants must be ready to start this scholarship no later than six months from the date of the Scholarship Award Letter (scholarship outcomes will be announced in June 2024).

Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE 2024 Annual Meeting Registration 

> mid-June to mid July

The QuakeCoRE community will be encouraged to register their Expression of Interest to attend this year's Meeting in mid-June to mid-July.

We recommend booking flights and accommodation at your earliest convenience.
