The Christchurch QuakeCoRE Emerging Researchers Chapter (QERC) is pleased to announce that they will be hosting an introductory workshop on LaTeX.
LaTeX it is a free document preparation system that is commonly used for producing technical reports and journal papers. Being familiar with it will greatly benefit your thesis/paper writing. This workshop is best suited to those who have never used LaTeX before.
The contents of the workshop include:
- An introduction to LaTeX and its benefits.
- How to do download and install LaTeX on your computer.
- How to produce a basic text using LaTeX.
As we will be going through some examples so it is recommended that you will bring your own laptop.
Venue: University of Canterbury – Room E10
Date and Time: Thursday 29 November, 2:30pm to 3:30pm
Registration required by 9am Monday 26 November.
This workshop is open to emerging researchers outside of Christchurch via zoom.
