Te Hīkina o Rūaumoko Mātauranga Māori Research Award 2022
Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE and Te Pū Ao GNS Science are pleased to announce the 2022 Te Hīkina o Rūaumoko Mātauranga Māori Research Award.
This award is to celebrate one or more researchers and their Māori community partners who have collaborated in excellent earthquake resilience research in either: earthquake resilience, disciplinary development, policy and /or legislation. The award value is $10,000 and should be used to support furthering the recipient’s research in earthquake resilience.
This award is open to researchers at any career stage, provided they are actively working in research that increases resilience between tangata whenua and taiao at the time of nominations. Nominees must be Aotearoa New Zealand based.

Nominations should be sent to quakecore@canterbury.ac.nz by Noon on Friday 5 August. The Te Hīkina o Rūaumoko Mātauranga Māori Research Award will be presented at the 2022 Te Hiranga Rū QuakeCoRE Annual Meeting in Ahuriri Napier.
